Role Description

A senior software development position working on cloud-based digital properties.

Responsible for core functional design and implementation of front-end and back-end functions and features for websites, portals, and other cloud-based digital applications.

Experience in LAMP development platform environments is required.

Mobile application development experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Must have strong knowledge of eCommerce development including payment gateway and shipping service API integrations
• Solid experience and knowledge of Theme deployments, plugin integrations and customization, and template customization
• Sound knowledge of programming concepts, best practices, and object-oriented programming techniques.
• Solid knowledge of and experience with code version control techniques and systems.
• Work experience and deliverable responsibility on international projects with an emphasis on USA-based projects.
• Demonstrable experience working via remote cloud-based access to client environments.
• Must have extensive knowledge of databases including the development of custom schemas, queries, and efficient data models.
• Demonstrable experience working closely and collaboratively with Project Managers and other members of the Development Team to ensure the timely completion of deliverables.
• Direct experience working with clients and Project Managers to build and optimize designs per the project requirements and the development platform framework.
• Demonstrable experience producing accurate project effort and duration estimatesduring the sales process. The scope of estimates include the expertise required, the total number of people required, the total number of development hours required, etc
• Track record of commitment to project plans and deliverables.
• Efficient communication of progress status with the Project Manager clearly enumerating progress and delays in a timely manner.
• Demonstrated experience determining appropriate project architecture and other technical design attributes of project solution plans. Experience preparing and presenting solution recommendations and plans to clients.
• Engage in outside-the-box thinking to provide high value-of-service and creative problem solutions to clients.
• Active involvement and regular contributor to the development community.
• Track record of creating and maintaining technical documentation.
• Solid experience debugging and troubleshooting issues with existing code.
• Commitment to continuing education and training with emerging trends and technologies in web development
• Knowledge of and solid experience designing and implementing security and data protection measures.
• Experience in social media APIs such as Facebook, Reddit, Instagram, etc.
• Web Programming in PHP/MySQL/Linux/AJAX/React JS with customization skills.

Skills

• Mandatory – PHP, CodeIgniter, WordPress.
• Basic Knowledge – Magento, MySQL, HTML, HTML5, jQuery, JavaScript, AJAX, React JS, MVC-based architecture, Laravel.
• Source Code Control: BitBucket, GitLab, GitHub, (git)
• Environment: Linux, Apache, MySQL, Postfix, VPN/VPC, Linux CLI
• AWS knowledge is a plus

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven 4-9 years of experience as a PHP Developer.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
